tis the season....
Time to torture the turkey again! I'm looking forward to thanksgiving this year; my family, Danny, and I are headed to the West Coast. I haven't been home for three years and i'm looking really forward to it. We plan on hitting up the Aquarium in Monterey; i'm SUPER excited! It's one of my favorite places ever and i'm so excited about being there and showing Danny around and all the cool fishies.
Plus, hey, we're visiting family! a week isn't THAT long, is it? :)

weddings
So one week from today one of my best friends is getting married, and i'm a bridesmaid. this week is going to be insane; things like the bachelorette party, rehearsal, and of course wedding itself mean that i have very little free time!
Plus my dress isn't hemmed yet.
Well, at least i have shoes....

Theological musings
I was reading John chapter eight last night, where Jesus says "Before Abraham was, I AM." The people questioned him, asking if he had seen Abraham.
That made me think...Christ has not only seen Abraham, but talked to him! which led me to think about what heaven would be like when we get there...
Think about all the people we'll be able to talk to!
Abraham.
David
Solomon (why all the wives and concubines?)
Hosea (how did he really feel about his wife?)
John the Baptist (did he ever feel Jesus stole his thunder?)
Paul (What WAS the thorn in his flesh?)
John the Apostle (what was the revelation like to experience?)
and not only biblical people, but more 'modern' saints: People like Calvin and Luther, who's theology is followed hundreds of years later.
and even those who lived in the last century:
Jim Elliot and those who died with him
My personal hero, Brother Andrew, who smuggled bibles into the inner circle communist countries.
We'll be surrounded by all these people!
and yet, we might not even care. Because we'll be in the presence of Yahweh, the Almighty God who created us, who saved us through the death of His Son.
And we'll be able to worship him for eternity.
